Q4 2023 Performance of Top Theme Parks Apps on Android in Australia

As the final quarter of 2023 has come to a close, Sensor Tower has compiled data on the performance of the top five theme parks' Android applications in Australia. Here we present an analytical snapshot of their digital footprints, focusing on downloads and weekly active users.

The Village Roadshow Theme Parks app experienced a fluctuating quarter, beginning with 3K downloads in the last week of September and dipping to 1.7K in late October. However, a rebound occurred in December, peaking at 3.3K downloads during the Christmas week.

For Universal Studios Japan, the download numbers started at under 1K and maintained a relatively stable trend, with minor fluctuations. The weekly active users showed more positivity, starting at 2.4K and rising to over 2.5K by the end of December.

Tokyo Disney Resort App downloads saw a decrease from 1.1K to 684 in late October, then a slight increase to 833 by the year's end. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, with a low of 2.6K climbing back up to 3.1K in the final week of December.

The Disneyland® app, on the other hand, had a more modest presence. Downloads hovered around the mid-hundreds, with a notable increase to 328 in the festive period. Active users ranged from 751 at the start of Q4 to 684 at the quarter's end.

Lastly, the Hong Kong Disneyland app, while starting with lower download numbers of 111, climbed to 229 by Christmas. Weekly active users presented a positive curve, starting at 192 and reaching 350 in the last week, indicating growing engagement.
